It’s been a while since I’ve written a review. I’ve been pretty busy the last few months so I apologize for the lack of updates. I promise to try a little harder from now and to try to do more regular updates. For my latest review I ordered a regular cheesesteak with provolone and fried onions from Dino’s Pizza located in Bridgeport.

Bread-The bread tasted pretty bland.  I ordered the cheesesteak a little late in the day and the bread wasn’t the freshest either.  Besides that the only bad thing was that it was too chewy.  So in all the bread wasn’t good at all.

Cheese-The cheese was pretty tasty.  It was melted throughout the whole sandwich which is a plus.  There was nothing outstanding about the cheese though.  If I could change one thing about the cheese I would have liked there to be a little more.

Meat-The meat was decent quality, but it was a little dry.  I don’t know if they cooked it too long, or if it was because I ordered delivery and it may have been sitting around a while waiting for other food to be cooked.  There weren’t any burnt pieces, fat or gristle, so that definitely raises my score for the meat a little.  In all the meat was probably one of my favorite parts of the cheesesteak, even though it was a little dry it tasted outstanding.

Amount-I was pretty impressed with the amount.  The roll used was probably only 10 inches but it was stuffed with meat.  It’s hard to tell from the picture below but it was very filling.  As I mentioned earlier they were a little sparse on the cheese, but they made up for that with the amount of meat and the perfect amount of fried onions.

Fried Onions-The fried onions were probably my favorite part of the cheesesteak.  Typically the meat or cheese is what makes a good cheesesteak for me, but Dino’s fried onions were superb.  They were fried to perfection and cooked to a nice golden brown color.  They were also nice and crispy.

In all Dino’s cheesesteak was pretty average.  Besides the fried onions there wasn’t anything that stuck out about their cheesesteak.  I recently moved to the town of Bridgeport so I’ll be doing a lot of reviews of places located there, and I hope I can find a better cheesesteak than the two I have already reviewed in Bridgeport.  A while ago I also reviewed Chick’s Tavern and I wasn’t too impressed  with them either.  I’m sure there is some place in Bridgeport that has an awesome cheesesteak and I am on a mission to find that place.  So stay tuned.  For the time being if you are in the Bridgeport area don’t try any cheesesteaks quite yet.  Hopefully in the next month or so you’ll be able to come back to my blog and read about much better cheesesteaks that can be found in the town of Bridgeport.
